What Is Seven Killings?
The essence of Seven Killings is: the “controls me” relationship between the Day Master and a Heavenly Stem of the same polarity.
“Controls me” means that the Five Element attribute of this Heavenly Stem controls the Five Element of the Day Master. “Same polarity” means that this Heavenly Stem has the same yin-yang quality as the Day Master.
Simply put:

For example, if the Day Master is Jia Wood, which is Yang Wood, Geng Metal, which is Yang Metal, controls Jia Wood. Because they share the same yin-yang polarity, Geng Metal is the Seven Killings of Jia Wood.

Direct Officer is a controlling relationship between opposite polarities, a form of restraint with yin-yang attraction and emotional harmony. Is there a difference between Seven Killings and Indirect Officer?
Yes. When Seven Killings is subdued, such as through Eating God controlling Killing or Resource transforming Killing, it is called Indirect Officer and represents authority and status. When it is uncontrolled or insufficiently transformed, it is called Seven Killings and represents oppression and danger. If Seven Killings is properly subdued in a chart, it may even indicate great wealth and status.
Does stronger Seven Killings always mean greater authority?
